Christmas

This Christmas was in one word - wonderful! I couldnt have asked for a better Christmas gift than to have our family here to share the holiday with us. Hagan and Jack really enjoyed all of the love and attention. Santa was good to all of us. The boys were overwhelmed with fun toys and there were presents galore! Hagan got the Vroom Vroom car he asked Santa for, Jack got lots of fun new toys to play with, Chris got a Wii (which he was not expecting to get) and the best gift out of so many great ones...was the quilt my mom made for me....it is so beautiful! Something i will truly treasure for years and years. It was truly a blessing to have the family here to celebrate. I hope we can do it again next year, wherever we are. :) Thanks guys for the special Christmas memories.

Visit with Santa

This Christmas will be more special than ever with JackJack here to celebrate and both sides of the family will be in town too! Just couldnt ask for better. We are so blessed to have such a wonderful life filled with wonderful family and friends. Merry Christmas to all!

Here are pictures of Hagan and Jack visiting with Santa. Hagan told Santa he wants a balloon and vroom vroom for Christmas this year. Jack was just the sweetest as usual. :) ---Now Santa will just have to remember those balloons on Christmas eve--

Bama / MissState Weekend

This past weekend we traveled to Starkville, MS for the Alabama vs Mississippi State football game. We rented a RV and were joined by my parents, my little brother Rickie, Chris's parents and his best friend Robert and his family (Melissa and Cade)... We camped out all weekend, grilled some really yummy food and spent some fun quality time together. The weekend was wonderful and even better for me since Bama killed State. haha! (Not so much for Chris though)
Here are a few pictures from the weekend.... We look forward to doing it all over again next year in Tuscaloosa. Thanks guys for such a great time!

Day at the Zoo

Well, today is Grammy's last day here with us in Houston...we are so sad! We decided to make the most of the day and took the boys to the zoo. The weather was perfect at 76 degrees and the animals were as cool as ever. Hagan had a great time seeing all of his favorite animals and Jack had fun riding along. :) Thanks for a super fun two weeks Grammy! We look forward to seeing you in two weeks.

Here are a few zoo pics.

Halloween

Boy, oh boy, halloween was a blast! We carved our pumpkin, made yummy cupcakes and went to a Gymboree Halloween party. Then tonight Hagan put on his best Mickey Mouse costume (thanks Nana!) and was the hit of the block! He had a super time going door to door trick-or-treating, seeing all of the other kids in their costumes, and he even loved answering the door and passing out candy. Jack Jack had a fun time too passing out candy with dad while Hagan trick-or-treated, but he was soooo sleepy he passed out early. It was a super fun day and we are so glad Grammy was here to join in the fun!

Atlanta Visit - October 2009

This past week in Atlanta has been a blast! On Sunday we took the boys to Stone Mountain to ride the Choo Choo Train...as you can imagine, Hagan loved it! We spent time visiting with friends and hanging out at home. On Monday we went off with my dad, stepmom and little brother Jordan. We got to see some wild animals and Hagan rode on the carousel and the little kids train.
Hagan follows Grammy everywhere and cant stand the thought of not being in the same room as her. He has even learned to cook with her...(see video) Hagan loves being a helper and he likes licking the yummy banana bread with chocolate chip bowl too!
We are so sad that our Atlanta adventure ends tomorrow and cant wait to come visit again.
Here are a few photos of our fun...

Pumpkin Patch

Well the wait is over and the boys and I are here in Atlanta visiting. We love getting to come visit and play. Yesterday we ventured to North GA to the best pumpkin patch ever - Burts Farm. Hagan loved seeing and sitting on all of the enormous pumpkins. Jack posed for a few pictures but mostly just enjoyed the ride.
For snack we had some yummy freshly made pumpkin rolls and later we took a long Hayride on the big John Deere tractor. The mountains and scenery were absolutely breath taking... We had a blast!

Well FINALLY, for one day, it feels like fall! And there couldnt have been a better day than today to take a family trip to the Rice Harvest Festival. We shopped at all of the little crafts tables, won some prizes, ate some yummy festival food and Hagan even got to ride some of the rides. We werent sure at first that he would be into the rides but boy was he ever!

Papa John and Grandma LeaLea visit

This past weekend my dad and stepmom came to visit and play with the boys. They quickly took to the boys and Hagan had a blast! Most of the weekend was spent playing "Choo Choo" or "Vroom Vroom" or watching cartoons. It was a really good time and we are so glad they were able to come out.

Learning more every day

We were asked to put together a page of pictures for Hagan's school photo album... Once I put the pictures on the page I asked him if he could tell me who everyone was...this was the third time asking him so he was kind of getting tired of it...but we were amazed at our smart little man. Check it out....

Bitter Sweet Visit

Over Labor Day weekend we flew to Memphis to say goodbye to Chris's grandaddy Jack. It was so sad but the ceremony was beautiful and very honorable. We are glad he is now in Heaven feeling great and watching over us.
Many of his loved ones came from all over the country and we even got to meet family we had never met before, including Aunt Peggy, who I had never met but heard so much about. :) As usual Hagan had a great time and couldnt meet a stranger. He especially enjoyed looking at and playing with all of grandaddy's airplanes. He must be special because they let him take home a couple to have and cherish. He also enjoyed watching for the racoons. Every night they were left a tray full of left overs and they were not shy to come and pig out right in front of all of the people. Hagan's new favorite word = Racoon. :)
It was bitter saying goodbye but sweet getting to visit with family.

On Sunday Aunt Cheryl and Uncle Stan had the other side of the family over for a cook out and boy did we all have a good time. The bigger little boys played tee-ball, played cars, and even found a snake in the yard. Yikes! The little boys were as precious as ever. Its amazing how quickly they are growing. We really hated leaving - we love spending time with each and every one of them. We look forward to spending Thanksgiving there.
Here are some pictures of our trip. Thanks again to everyone for having us. We love you all.

Family Vacation

We had a wonderful family vacation this past week at my parents lake house in Atlanta. It was so nice to be able to get away as a family for a whole week to relax and enjoy good company.
Chris started off the vacation with a bang - literally. The first day while cleaning off the dock he took a wrong step and fell off the dock into the water - got pretty bruised up. He was a trooper though and didnt let it effect the rest of the trip. Hagan slowly warmed up to swimming in the lake and really took to his new "vroom vroom" fishing pole (However, Rickie took home the trophy for "Best Catch" with his super catfish) Hagan also loved taking rides on the boat and playing in his pool. Meanwhile JackJack enjoyed laying naked in the pack-n-play on the dock with wind blowing and having cuddle time swinging with Grammy.
Later in the week we had special guests - my aunt BJ and my cousin Leslie and her two boys, Quentin (5) and Gabriel (2). As you can imagine, Hagan had a blast playing with her boys! We love getting to see them, hopefully one day we will live closer and the boys can play together more often. Infact, we had such a great time that we began scoping out which house we would like to buy on the lake....once we win the lottery of course. :)
The week was such a great time we were heartbroken to have to leave. We cant wait for our next visit.

Thanks to the parents for allowing us to come and stay. And a special thanks to mom for being such a huge help with the boys and allowing Chris and I to relax. You're the best!

Here are a few of the 400 pictures taken. Enjoy!

Hagan's 2nd Birthday

I cant believe the time has come already...On Saturday we celebrated Hagan's 2nd birthday. Nana, Pops and uncle Rickie were even in town to help celebrate. It was a "Cars" themed day! Hagan had a great time and got lots of great toys and gifts. Later that afternoon Chris, Rickie, Jackson and I took the birthday boy to Chuck-E-Cheese for some pizza and fun game playing.
After two years Hagan has already grown into a sweet, fun and loving little man. A mommy couldnt be more proud. He brings us so much joy every day.
Here are a few pictures of his big day.

Announcing Jackson William Lineberger

It was Wednesday afternoon, June 24....Hagan and I had picked up Grammy from the airport that morning and Chris had surprised us and come home from work early that afternoon. We would be expecting Mike and Robbie (chris's parents) the next afternoon and planned to head to the hospital on Friday. Well it was still Wednesday night and we had just gotten finished eating KFC for dinner when my water broke. Chris and my mom didnt believe me at first but soon were assured. We put Hagan down for the night, called someone to sit here with him and we headed to the hospital. The nurses were waiting on us and it wasnt long after we arrived that we were in the OR delivering our tiny bundle, Jackson. He arrived 2 days early on June 24 at 9:20pm.
Weighing in at 5lb 14oz, much smaller than we thought he would be, and 19 1/2" long.
The nurses took him for the first two hours and then finally we were able to meet and hold our baby boy. Nana, Pop and Papa John arrived the next afternoon and are here with us now. We came home from the hospital on Saturday afternoon and are getting adjusted just fine.
Here are a few pics of our joyful event and our precious Jack.

Memorial Day in Atlanta

Hagan and I spent a week over Memorial Day weekend in Atlanta at the lake house. We had such a great time and got to visit with family and friends.
Hagan loved taking walks down to the dock, fishing with pawpaw, playing in his pool, lovin' on all of the dogs (even the neighbors dog) and riding on the boat and getting to be co-captain with pawpaw.
My girlfriend Kristin, whom I havent seen since our wedding (over 4 years ago!!) even came from Chattanooga and stayed the weekend. We had a nice and relaxing time getting to visit and Hagan LOVED flirting and playing with her. Shannon (and her new puppy Maximus)and Jenna and Austin came for a day to play and cook out. Hagan's Papa John, Grandma Lea and Uncle Jordan came to visit on Saturday and Sunday too. Lots of fun with everyone at the lake house! Unfortunately Chris wasnt able to go since he had to work but we are planning another family trip out there in August and are already looking forward to it. :)
Here are some pictures of our visit.

Visit with family

We had a great visit with our Memphis family. It was a quick visit but we had a fun time getting to see everyone. Hagan loved Nana and Pops house in the country - he kept a close eye out for the horses (Nay) and cows (Moo). Pops took us to the nursing home to see Other Mama and we all enjoyed ourselves. He was sure to put on a show for her. While we were there Hagan was visited by some of the workers there that had heard so much about him from Pops and Other Mama. The humane society was there and you know Hagan had a blast petting and lovin' on the dog dogs.
We went with Aunt Cheryl to Hudsons tee ball game and Hagan got to flirt with the ladies (the moms) and play in the gravel with Cade. Hudson even made his first hit from a pitch. Way to go Hudson! Laurel brought Maddox and Wesley over to play and Hagan had a blast! He chased Maddox around and even got bit by Cade. haha. All in good loving spirit. Chris and I made our outting to Central BBQ with Robert, Melissa and Cade and boy was it delicious! We sure miss that yummy Memphis bbq. Later Chris, Hagan and I made a trip out to see Jared, Brenda and their new addition, Grady. Their house was beautiful but the company was even better. So good to see them and some old friends. Hagan spent some time on the porch with Nana blowing bubbles - eating them too - and quickly learned that the soapy bubble water doesnt taste very good.
All in all we had a great weekend. We cant wait to see Nana and Pops in June and hope to get back to visit the Memphis gang soon. Thanks for the fun time! We love and miss you all.

Happy Easter Everyone!

Hagan had a great Easter. The Easter bunny brought Hagan an Elmo Easter basket filled with a Winnie The Pooh DVD, a Nemo coloring book and lots of yummy candy (which is what he ate for breakfast). The Easter bunny also left candy stuffed eggs hidden in the house for Hagan to hunt. He had a great time! Later we went as a family to have breakfast at IHOP. Hagan enjoyed chocolate chip pancakes. He was spoiled with sweet treats today! Then we headed home for a nice long nap. Great day! Hope you all had a super Easter weekend too! Here are a couple of videos of the day. Enjoy!

Dancing

Hagan loves to dance, especially to the Imagination Movers (show on Disney). His favorite song is the one that says "Jump up, Get down, Stand up, Turn around, Turn around, Turn around, Turn around"...I thought his dancing was just too cute and fun not to share. :)

Fun times

Here are some photos my mom took during her visit this past week. As you can see we had a great time playing at the park, blowing bubbles, eating yummy birthday cake, and just being silly.

It's a Boy!

Yesterday we had our big ultrasound for baby number 2. The little guy really did not want to cooperate so we got to watch him for a very long time in order for the technician to get all of the info she needed. Everything looked good and we have a healthy baby boy. After much poking and proding, he finally began to wake up and then wouldnt stop moving (and kicking me). Our doctor was so kind to answer any and all of our questions and at the end he let us have a 3D look at the little guy. My mom was there in the room with us and took all of the video. :) Take a look! We think he already looks like his big brother....although much smaller at a meer 12oz. You will see he even gave us a smile. Neither Chris nor I were really leaning toward wanting a boy versus girl so we are thrilled at the news. I must say though, in Chris's family it is very difficult to create little girls. Anyway, hope the pictures and video will bring you a small glimpse into our experience. Enjoy!

More videos at Gymboree

Grammy's Visit

This past week Hagan's Grammy (my mom) has been visiting with us and Hagan has just been in heaven. Not to mention Chris and I....she is such a huge help when she is here and so fun to be around. For my birthday (and Valentine weekend) she stayed here with Hagan while Chris and I enjoyed a nice relaxing weekend in Austin, TX. Today Grammy and I took Hagan to Gymboree for gym and music time and boy did he have a blast! We are going to make it a weekly thing. Here are a few videos of him playing at home and at Gymboree.
