Finally getting started...

Ok, I am officially catching up with the band wagon and am starting our blog. We have been here in Sugar Land, TX for right at 3 months now and are getting well adjusted.
Luckily we didnt have any major damage from hurricane Ike a few weeks ago and were only out of power for 1 day, unlike many in our area who just got power back. Hagan and I fled to Atlanta to get out of Ike's way and got to spend a week there with Grammy, Pawpaw and Uncle Rickie. Chris's parents drove from Memphis so we got to visit with them for a few days too. As you can imagine Chris has been extremely busy cleaning up the golf course and has not been home much. Its beginning to feel as though we are back in Marion at Meadowbrook with Chris working so much. (ugh) Slowly but surely things will get back to normal and we will be spoiled again by him being home more often.
Hagan will be 15 months on the 11th and we are STILL waiting on him to walk. He walks just fine holding one finger but just will not go out on his own. All in good time I guess. Until then I am enjoying his kisses and snuggling. He is a total momma's boy and loves to cuddle. He is so fun to be around because he is always smiling and making us laugh. He has started a Children's Day Out class on Monday and Wednesday's and is enjoying himself. The first couple of weeks started out a little rocky but now he is getting more comfortable with his teachers and the other kids so I am thankful for that. It is so difficult to leave him when he is clinging to my neck with his head on my shoulder - most of you can relate. We have also joined the MOMS Club and have regular play dates and outings with other moms and kids his age. Thats fun. Other than that we are just learning our way around the area. We certainly miss all of our family and friends but we are happy none-the-less. I promise to be good and post regularly so come back soon for more pictures and updates....the fall and winter are sure to be filled with lots of new stuff.
